Experience

Mr. Cook has been actively involved in Plan Review and Permitting duties for local jurisdictions since January 2012, focusing on ensuring compliance with Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations, as well as other relevant local codes and departmental guidelines. Currently associated with dSantana Arquitectura, Mr. Cook has conducted Senior Fire Life Safety Plan Reviews for various jurisdictions, including the City of Palo Alto, the City of Long Beach, and the City of Monterey Park, among others.

Before his current role, Mr. Cook served in various capacities. From April 2007 to August 2022, he was employed by the State of California - OSHPD as a Fire and Life Safety Officer II. Responsibilities included plan review and construction observation for healthcare facilities, participating in the Commissioning Process, and maintaining associated documentation for Post Approval Documents. He has extensive experience in triaging and reviewing submittal documents, handling preliminary, over-the-counter, expedited, and standard plan reviews related to the design and construction of buildings.
